Ruth
Bernhard once said that she never shot a nude where the model looked at
the viewer. This book is the result of over eighteen years of trying to
refine this ideal, as photographed by Curtis Neeley Jr.
These are offered
in several different editions: a special collector's edition of each title, and an open edition of the smaler book in hardcover,
and in softcover.
Neeley started the book in 1991 as a U.S. Marine, and several pages
feature a fellow Marine corporal from those early days. Images
incorporate subjects that are both male and female, young and old. Figurenude documents the dignity of the human form and stands as splendid testimony of an artist's lifelong passion for human beauty.
Figurenude is hardcover and contains 72 pages and dimensions are 11" x 13".
